Inclusion Statement – The Church Tas Pty Ltd
At The Church Tas Pty Ltd, inclusion is a core value that guides every aspect of our operations. Through our three ventures—The Church (events, markets, and meetings), Gourmet Gift Hampers Tasmania, and Vintage Car Tours Tasmania—we are committed to creating welcoming, respectful, and empowering experiences for all.
Operating in regional Tasmania, we prioritise community-based inclusion, with a strong focus on supporting individuals and groups who may experience marginalisation. This includes LGBTQIA+ people, people with disabilities, neurodivergent individuals, trauma survivors, multicultural families, and those facing financial hardship.
Key Initiatives and Their Impact
Rainbow Pride Gift Range at our business Gourmet Gift Hampers Tasmania
Our Rainbow Pride Collection includes Tasmanian-made products and jewellery in rainbow, trans, and bi pride colours. These thoughtfully curated gifts provide visibility, affirmation, and celebration for LGBTQIA+ individuals, especially in rural areas where such representation is limited.
Who benefits: LGBTQIA+ individuals and allies seeking identity-affirming products.
Inclusive Wedding Representation
Our wedding marketing intentionally features diverse couples, including same-sex and gender-diverse partnerships. This visual representation is still uncommon in regional settings and helps ensure all couples feel seen, welcomed, and safe when planning their special day.
Who benefits: LGBTQIA+ couples seeking inclusive and respectful services.
Free Weekly Community Stall
At our Sunday market, we offer a free stall each week for local charities and community groups. We provide the equipment and promotional support, prioritising organisations that support trauma recovery, disability services, youth, and multicultural communities.
Who benefits: Under-resourced community organisations and charities gaining visibility and public support.
$10 Frozen Budget Community Meals
We prepare nutritious, home-cooked meals using local, seasonal produce and sell them for just $10 each. These meals are made with care and dignity, offering support to those facing financial stress without stigma or judgment.
Who benefits: Low-income individuals, elderly residents, families, and food-insecure community members.
Safe, Accessible, and Family-Friendly Spaces
Our venue has been designed to be calm, inclusive, and secure. It is fully fenced, family-friendly, and equipped with a defibrillator. Both owners hold current First Aid certification, Working with Vulnerable People registration, Police Checks, and have experience in emergency services.
Who benefits: Families, carers, neurodivergent visitors, and those seeking a safe, reassuring environment.
