Let us take care of everything — from set-up to pack-down — including delicious food and non-alcoholic drinks. All you need to bring is your favourite people and your favourite alcoholic beverages (yes, it’s BYO!).
Nestled within the fully fenced, historic grounds of our 1857 heritage-listed church in the Heart of Tasmania, our Luxe Styled Picnics offer a one-of-a-kind experience that blends timeless charm with effortless elegance.
The Church provides the perfect backdrop for connection, celebration, and unforgettable memories.
Picture this: you arrive to a warm friendly welcome, a little history, a story or two and find your picnic beautifully set — soft rugs underfoot, vintage-style picnic tables surrounded by plush velvet lounges, cushions, and elegant chairs for those who prefer to stay off the ground. Garden-picked florals, thoughtful styling, and stunning views across our lawns and gardens complete the scene.
From start to finish, we handle every detail so you can simply arrive, relax, and enjoy. After a warm welcome and introduction to The Church, we’ll quietly step away — close by if needed, but leaving your group to enjoy your experience in privacy.

- Your Luxe Styled Picnic set up in an exclusive, private area of our grounds.
- All furnishings, including lush lounge chairs, variety of other chairs (for those who like their picnic off the ground), rugs, throws, cushions, antique decor & tables.
- Crockery, cutlery, glasses, cloth napkins, tissues, serviettes etc.
- Ice filled vintage metal bathtub with both regular ice and luxe flowered ice cubes to keep your drinks icy cold.
- An arrangement of fresh flowers / greenery.
- Umbrella and/or gazebos in sunny weather.
- Lit open fire pit in cooler weather with extra wood to add as you please.
- Bluetooth speaker so you can connect your favourite playlist tunes.
- Yard and table-top games.
- Fun sheet of “Conversation Starters”.
- Up to 4 hours use.

WE ARE SUPER PROUD OF OUR 100% TASSIE MENU
We’re passionate about creating food that celebrates Tasmania — using local, seasonal ingredients wherever possible. Everything is homemade from scratch, fresh, and crafted with care.
Some of our recipes are our very own creations you won’t find anywhere else. Others are timeless classics, perfected over time. Either way, you can expect a high-quality experience with generous portions and hearty, satisfying flavours.
What we haven’t made ourselves, we’ve proudly sourced from other amazing Tasmanian producers and suppliers. In fact, when we couldn’t find anyone making marshmallows in Tasmania for toasting over our cosy firepits… we decided to make our own!
So please — sit back, relax, enjoy the moment, and have some fun. We’re proudly different from a restaurant. You’ll have privacy and space to enjoy your experience, but we’re never far away — just a few steps from wherever you are, and always ready to help if needed.
Any allergies or dietary requirements? Vegetarian? Vegan? Easy – Just give us at least one week’s notice, as we may need to source from our special Tasmanian suppliers — and we’ll be happy to cater to your needs
Pork & Wallaby Terrine
Wallaby is uniquely Tasmanian. Tassie is the only place where it’s legal to harvest them. Wallaby produces a much milder and sweeter meat than it mainland counterparts aka larger roos. This is our own created recipe, you won’t experience anywhere else in THE WORLD! Savour the unique taste of Tasmania with this sustainable, protein-rich delicacy. Wild-harvested wallaby meat, by Tasmania’s Lenah Game Meats, combined with tender Tassie pork, thyme from our garden, basil, garlic, and pepita seeds, creates a terrine that is both delicious and environmentally conscious.
Tasmanian Trio of Cheeses
Devine Double Cream Brie + Vintage Club Cheddar + Blue Vein Cheddar – Relish an array of “Tasmania’s Finest Handcrafted Cheeses” from Southern Sky Cheese Company, our local cheese producer just north of our location in Perth, Tasmania. These premium cheeses are perfect by founder, Rod Wyker, with 30 year industry expertise he crafts fine cheeses and dairy products. Born of his love and passion for specialty dairy products and Tasmanian produce. Perfect Tassie cheese to showcase on our platters.
Tasmanian Prime Meats
Leg Ham Off the Bone, Mild Salami + Cabana – An artisan selection of Tasmanian meats, a true showcase of Tasmanian craftsmanship and flavour.
Homemade Chicken Pate
House-made on site from Nichol’s Tasmania’s direct and fresh chicken livers, combined with Tasmanian butter, herbs from our garden and other quality ingredients. A quality pate for true pate lovers to enjoy and remember!
Homemade Seasonal Dips
Depending on group numbers, you will receive 2-4 delicious homemade dips. True treats, made from scratch, using Tasmanian produce and added freshness from our own garden or greenhouse.
Tasmanian Pepperberry Quince Paste
Created by Wild Pepper Isle, Tasmanian Pepperberries gives this quince paste an extra fresh, fruity dimension and little pockets of pepper that give you a burst of bush flavour and peppery bite! It’s a Gold medal award winner multiple times over at the Royal Hobart Fine Food Awards
Fresh Eggs
from our on-site free-range chickens. We call them the best fed chooks in Tasmanian – as they enjoy a LOT of kitchen and catering scraps.

Warm homemade scones (made with ALL Tasmanian ingredients) served straight out of the oven. With sides of local gourmet Summerberry Jam made at the nearby town of Evandale, with Tassie whipped cream and Tassie butter, plus a variety of Tasmanian-made Chocolates, and a taste of Tasmanian-made Scottish Tablet (Unlike its close cousin, fudge, Scottish tablet is harder and has a crumbly texture that will melt in your mouth. Our tablet is deliciously rich with caramel and butterscotch flavours).
Homemade Marshmallows
We couldn’t find Tasmanian-made marshmallows… so we make them from scratch!
We’ll provide the toasting sticks and the crackling open fire—you roast the marshmallows and make the memories.
Non-Alcoholic Tasmanian Drinks
We’ll keep your drinks topped up throughout your picnic!
Enjoy chilled iced water, refreshing fruit & herb-infused waters, and our signature house-made “Tasmanian Church Mocktail”—all crafted using 100% Tasmanian ingredients.

PAYMENT & CANCELLATION TERMS
To secure your picnic booking at The Church, the following terms apply:
Deposit:
A non-refundable $95 deposit is required at the time of booking. This secures your chosen date and ensures no other bookings can be taken for your allocated time and space. Please note: a maximum of three picnics may be hosted on the property at one time, each in separate designated areas.
Final Payment:
Full per-person payment is required upon arrival on the day of your picnic.
We accept both cash and card payments.
You’re welcome to pay as a group or split the bill between individuals or couples — whichever works best for you.
Cancellations:
- 14 days or more prior to your booking: Full refund of any payments made.
- Between 14 days and 2 days prior: A full credit will be issued (no cash refund), which can be applied to a future booking.
- Within 2 days of your booking: Unfortunately, no refunds or credits will be given.
Weather Policy:
If rain is forecast within 48 hours of your booking, you may choose to:
- Proceed with your event indoors at The Church (no change in charge), or
- Receive a full credit (no cash refund) to reschedule your picnic at a future date.
